How We Handle Your Information
Last updated September 2026
About This Site
This site is operated by the campaign to elect William Moore to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Sully District. Its purpose is to explain who the candidate is, what he intends to do in office, and how residents can reach him. We collect as little information as possible to do that.
Information You Send Us
If you email the campaign, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message, including your email address. We use it to read and reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it.
The Volunteer Form
The volunteer form asks for your name and email address. Your phone number, your address, the ways you would like to help, your area of expertise, and the issue you care most about are all optional, and the form marks them so.
We use what you send to contact you about volunteering and to organize the work, such as knowing who has asked for a yard sign and who is willing to knock on doors. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it, and we will not use it for anything else without asking you first.
Submissions are stored with Sanity, which holds the campaign's content, and a notification is emailed to the campaign through Resend. Cloudflare Turnstile protects the form from automated abuse by checking that you are a person rather than a script. It does not use tracking cookies and does not follow you across other websites.
Your IP address goes to Cloudflare so Turnstile can check the submission, and to our host, which uses it to limit how often the form can be sent. We do not store it with your submission.
We keep volunteer details for as long as the campaign is running. You can ask us to remove you at any time. See Your Choices below.
Analytics
We use a privacy-focused analytics service to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. We see totals and trends, not individuals.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Donations
Contributions are processed by ActBlue on its own platform. When you follow a donate link you leave this site, and ActBlue's privacy policy and terms govern what happens there. Virginia campaign finance law requires the campaign to report certain contributor information to the Virginia Department of Elections, and those reports are public records.
Links to Other Websites
We sometimes link to news coverage, county records, and other outside sources. Those links are provided for information and convenience. They are not endorsements of everything on the destination site, and we are not responsible for its content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
Who We Share Information With
Nobody, apart from the service providers who help us run this site, and only to the extent they need it to do that work. Those are Vercel, which hosts the site; Sanity, which stores our content and volunteer submissions; Rybbit, which counts visits; Resend, which delivers our email; Cloudflare, which checks the volunteer form for automated abuse; and ActBlue, which processes donations on its own platform. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We also share information when the law requires it, including the campaign finance reporting described above.
How Long We Keep It
We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the campaign, and records we are legally obliged to retain for as long as the law requires. Volunteer details are covered under The Volunteer Form.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Email web@mooreforsully.org and we will respond. We cannot delete records we are required by law to keep, such as filed campaign finance reports.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Students are welcome to volunteer, and anyone under 18 should check with a parent or guardian first. If you think a child under 13 has sent us something, email web@mooreforsully.org and we will delete it.
Where We Handle It
The campaign operates in Virginia and this site is meant for people in the United States. Our service providers may store or process information here and in other countries.
Accessibility
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If you hit something that does not work for you, please tell us at web@mooreforsully.org and we will fix it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top.
